Groups of gangsters operating in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets set fire to the premises of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of this jurisdiction during the night of July 25 to 26, 2022.
This attack would have been claimed by members of the 400 mawozo gang, according to what was reported by some local residents who denounce the gangs who show great cruelty and also perversity.
The government commissioner of Croix-des-Bouquets, Roosevelt Zamor, reported that significant damage was recorded at the level of the public prosecutor’s office, specifying that the fire destroyed the registry as well as the offices of the commissioners.
No loss of human life was recorded. It should be noted that several bullet holes were found on the walls of the prosecutor’s office. Despite the intervention of the firefighters from the commune of Tabarre, they were unable to limit the damage.
Despite the interventions of the specialized units of the Haitian National Police to eradicate or diminish the strike force of the 400 mawozo gang, the protégés of Lanmò San Jou continue to haunt the lives of the inhabitants of the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets and its surroundings.
After the spectacular assassination of the police inspector by the 400 mawozo gang, this armed group continues to prove its notoriety in the jurisdiction of Croix-des-Bouquets.
For the time being, all activities are at a standstill at the level of the Croix-des-Bouquets Public Prosecutor’s Office while awaiting the arrival of the authorities concerned to make the legal report.
