Three alleged kidnappers shot dead by police in Port-au-Prince

CTN News

Automatic weapons fire was heard this Monday in the area of Turgeau where Haitian National Police officers were confronting kidnappers who were trying to kidnap a schoolboy. Three alleged kidnappers were killed by police.
At least one firearm was confiscated by the police during this intervention, which foiled the kidnapping attempt, said a source close to the PNH.

The day before, several cases of kidnapping were recorded in the capital. Among the victims was Pastor Richard Veillard, who was kidnapped with his daughter on the road to Frères.
It should be noted that Pastor Lochard Rémy, kidnapped since the beginning of February, is still in the hands of his captors who are demanding a large sum of money in exchange for his release.
