The High Council of Wages (CSS), submitted, Monday, its report to the government, learned Zoom Haiti News.
This is the seventh report of this structure on the minimum wage as prescribed by the law of September 29, 2009.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Pierre Ricot Odney, received the document, as announced on February 11 by Prime Minister Ariel Henry following the movement of workers of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI), repressed with gunfire and tear gas by police.
The textile workers blamed government authorities for not having made any wage adjustments for nearly two years, even though the CSS is required to submit annual recommendations in this regard in order to relieve households faced with the high cost of living.
