Police in Artibonite have succeeded in arresting three individuals suspected of being involved in criminal activities. According to law enforcement, these arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts to combat violence and armed gangs operating in the region.
The first arrest took place in Liancourt, where 18-year-old Datilus Jean Gladson, nicknamed “Sache,” was apprehended by authorities. Originally from Mowo, a locality in the commune, Gladson was known for his role as a scout in the Grif gang, a gang active in the Savien area. He was arrested in the company of Edouard Edva, 38 years old, also a member of the dreaded Gran Grif gang.
At the same time, the police were able to apprehend Frito Aristil, 29 years old, near the Verettes police station. Aristil is a member of the “57 Fòkè” gang, which is allied with the Gran Grif gang. He is accused of various crimes, including murder, robbery, rape and hijacking of trucks. According to information provided by the police, he is also wanted for an alleged murder in Chile, which led to an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol for him.
The three individuals are currently being held in police custody, pending the necessary legal proceedings to shed light on their criminal activities and ensure the safety of the communities affected by their actions.
