Agents of the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police conducted an operation this Friday morning in Torcel 68 in the commune of Tabarre.
During this operation, the police forces proceeded to the liberation of a 41 year old woman who had been kidnapped from her home during the night of March 14 to 15, between Thomassin 44 and 46.
One of the bandits was fatally hit in exchanges of fire with the police and a 3-80 caliber pistol was confiscated by the officers, confirms the spokesman of the Haitian National Police, Inspector Garry Desrosiers, reached by phone by Zoom Haiti News.
Like other cities, the town of Tabarre has become a stronghold of bandits for some time. Cases of robbery and kidnapping are often repeated in this commune bordering Pétion-ville
The efforts to be made by the police to eradicate the phenomenon of kidnapping are monstrous. The police force, whose means are limited, has not stopped calling for the collaboration of the population.
