New cases of kidnapping in Port-au-Prince: An employee of the Gheskio Centers and a director of Unibank kidnapped on Thursday

CTN News

An employee of the Gheskio Centers, Dr. Karine Sevère, was kidnapped this Thursday in the Haitian capital, while returning from work.

A senior executive of Unibank was also kidnapped. Guy Supplice was kidnapped on Rue Solon Ménos as he was about to return home.

There was no immediate information about the ransom demanded by the kidnappers for the two hostages.

Cases of insecurity, particularly kidnappings for ransom, are multiplying in the capital and in certain regions of the country, notably the Artibonite, which, like the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince, are controlled by armed gangs.

In the meantime, Radio Vision2000 journalist Jean Thony Lorthé and two of his relatives are still in the hands of kidnappers, one week after being kidnapped in Laboule 12, in the heights of Petion-ville.
