Haiti-Migration: 176 Haitian nationals rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard

Haitian citizens continue to take the path of emigration to flee the situation prevailing in the country.

They were a new cohort of 176 compatriots to risk their lives on a makeshift boat in order to reach the United States of America in search of a better quality of life.
In difficulty at sea, the U.S. Coast Guard came to their rescue in the Reef Ocean on January 10, according to a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Haiti.
Ten of the migrants were hospitalized, the embassy said, without giving details on the whereabouts of the refugees at this time.
