Journalists Frantzsen Charles and Tayson Lartigue were killed on Sunday, September 11, 2022, in the commune of Cité Soleil while they were reporting.
According to preliminary information, Frantzsen Charles and Tayson Lartigue were part of a group of seven journalists who were investigating the latest violence perpetrated against the civilian population.
Suddenly, an armed attack was orchestrated against these media workers. Two of them were killed while the other five journalists were able to escape the attack and flee.
Frantzsen Charles and Tayson Lartigue, who work for online media, have just added to the list of journalists killed in the exercise of their profession in Haiti.
A similar tragedy was recorded in January 2022 with the murder of journalists John Wesley Amady and Wilguens Louissaint in Laboule. Members of the Ti Makak gang are accused of involvement in this double murder.
