The Anti-Corruption Unit indicated in a note that the seals affixed to the doors and filing cabinets of the office of the Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Romel Bell, during the search of May 20, were lifted this Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

However, the ULCC announces that further actions will be taken in the investigation of the case involving the Director General of Customs Romel Bell, accused in the trafficking of arms and ammunition. These actions will be taken in accordance with Article 11 of the decree of September 8, 2004 creating the institution in order to constitute the offenses of corruption denounced, says the ULCC in this note.

“Any person with information that could help the ULCC investigators can communicate it either through the “5656” line or in the anti-corruption alert boxes available in public institutions”, says the institution headed by Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph.
According to Radio Télé Métronome, the report of the search carried out by the ULCC at the AGD will be given to the judicial authorities for legal follow-up.
