An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred this Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the department of Nippes. The tremors were felt in several municipalities at dawn between 4:00 and 4:50 am. No material damage was recorded. Panic has seized the inhabitants who still have after-effects of the disaster of August 14, 2021.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 14 km, west of the city of Miragoâne and at a depth of 5 km.
