A “Disgusting” Message from the White House to Immigrants on Valentine’s Day

For those who believed that leading the United States was the most difficult job on the planet, Donald Trump and his team have once again proven otherwise.

On the seemingly ordinary occasion of Valentine’s Day, which is generally overlooked by presidents who have more serious tasks to attend to, the White House found time to dedicate a message deemed dehumanizing and humiliating to immigrants.

Following the trend of companies sharing personalized Valentine’s Day cards, the White House chose a tone that shocked many internet users.

Displayed on a festive pink card were photos of President Donald Trump and Tom Homan, the administration’s border policy chief. However, it was the message accompanying the image that sparked a strong reaction on social media: “Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally, and we’ll deport you.” the White House posted on its online platforms.

This message triggered a wave of outrage from many users, who felt that Donald Trump’s team had stooped too low by posting a message perceived as hostile toward immigrants.

This statement, which reflects the Trump administration’s strict stance on immigration, starkly contrasts with the tradition established by former First Lady Jill Biden. Under her husband’s administration, she decorated the White House’s North Lawn with large candy hearts to spread a message of love and unity, noted Black Information Network.

As soon as the card was published, reactions poured in. Many social media users condemned it as “disgusting,” “inhumane,” and “insensitive,” particularly on a day meant to celebrate love and kindness.

This controversial initiative once again highlights the hardline stance of the Trump administration on immigration, further fueling tensions and deepening the divide in the debate over how immigrants are treated in the United States.

Lacking a concrete plan to address the country’s high inflation rate and other economic challenges, Donald Trump and his team continue to distract the American people by focusing on their easiest target: immigrants.
