Four people, including two police officers, were killed in a shooting at Carrefour-Feuilles early Tuesday evening during a routine check by national police officers.
Dempsey Denis, 32 years old, agent 1 and Prévilus Jean Gardy, respectively from the 27th and 31st promotion, were assigned to the police station of Marché Salomon. They did not survive the attack. While on patrol, their convoy was attacked.
The police officers affected succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to the hospital, according to PNH spokesman Gary Desrosiers.
Several other wounded were recorded in this shooting, according to several witnesses to Zoom Haiti News.
Insecurity continues to rage in the country. And police officers remain the main targets of armed bandits.
