The management of the AGD listens to the merchants of the metropolitan area

A meeting was organized this Tuesday, July 26, 2022 by the Port-au-Prince customs office and merchants of the Hyppolite market, Tabarre and downtown. During this meeting held at the Port-au-Prince customs office, merchants and officials of the General Administration of Customs discussed for about two hours on a possible improvement of the process of clearance of goods.

The Port-au-Prince customs office announced the creation of commissions to not only work on the recommendations of traders according to the standards and principles established by law, but also to allow the customs to keep its control prerogatives.

To continue to improve its control power and develop better relations with the private business sector, the Port-au-Prince customs office has already announced other meetings with other groups in the business sector.

The new Director General of Port-au-Prince Customs, Julcene Edouard, had already met with important members of the customs sector on July 6-11 and 12, and had promised to meet with members of the private business sector, in order to improve the customs control service and develop better relations with merchants.
