Assistant Secretary of State Brian A. Nichols met with Haitian Foreign Minister Jean Généus on Wednesday.
The discussions focused on the current crisis in the country.
“I am pleased to meet again with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Haiti JeanVGeneus to discuss the additional resources available to the international community to support the Haitian National Police,” said Brian Nichols in a message on his twitter account. The two men also discussed “the need to break the political impasse and discussed the vision of the Haitian government on the path to elections,” added the American diplomat.
