Fallece la madre del embajador Guy Lamothe.

Leone Colas Lamothe falleció el 6 de enero, según su familia, que ha anunciado que los funerales de la centenaria se celebrarán el 13 de enero en Cabo Haitiano.

La víspera tendrá lugar un encuentro de oración en la capilla de San José para celebrar la vida de la difunta, informó TelePluriel citando a la familia de la fallecida memorialista.

Nacida en 1924, Leone Colas Lamothe tenía cuatro hijos: Jean, Guy, Claude y Félix Lamothe.

“Educadora de carrera y mujer de fe, siempre fue una gran consejera para sus alumnos en primer lugar, y para todos sus vecinos de las calles 22 y 23 E de Cap-Haïtien”, lamentó su familia, afirmando que “el incendio de la casa de la familia Lamothe en agosto de 2020 realmente hizo mella en la ya frágil salud de la centenaria”, en un comunicado a CaribbeanTelevisionNetwork.

Hija del célebre jurista Léo Colas, que ocupó diversos cargos en la justicia haitiana en el Departamento Norte, Léone Colas tenía ocho nietos y nietas, entre ellos: Christine, Jonathan, Reginald, Dominique, Alain, Clarke, Stéphane y Arielle Lamothe.
