Lake Worth, Florida — A violent confrontation in a residential area of Lake Worth led to the arrest of two individuals after brick projectiles were used against residents, causing significant injuries. One of the suspects is currently being held due to his illegal immigrant status.

According to reports from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) provided to CBS12 News, the two individuals involved are Oscar Pedro Fransisco, age 30, and Luis Mendez Felipe, age 21. The incident occurred Saturday around 11:45 PM on Conrad Circle. The victims reported being targeted with bricks thrown by the two men, resulting in severe injuries: one resident suffered a fractured left hand and various chest contusions, while his wife developed significant facial swelling. The attackers also allegedly damaged the rear window of their vehicle with a brick.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers observed blood stains on the facade of the suspects’ residence and heard sounds of fighting inside. Following initial non-cooperation, officers made an immediate entry, prompted by suspicious noises and visible blood presence. Inside, substantial blood stains covered the kitchen floor. Several people were detained, but Fransisco and Felipe were identified as the main perpetrators of the assault.

Luis Mendez Felipe is charged with criminal vandalism for damage estimated between $200 and $1,000. Oscar Pedro Fransisco faces two counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

The case becomes more complex with Fransisco’s administrative situation. Legal documents examined after his arrest confirm his irregular stay in American territory. A detention notice has been issued, keeping him in custody for reasons related to his immigration status.

This information is based on an original report by Skyler Shepard for CBS12 News. CBS12 is recognized for its accurate coverage of regional news in Florida.
