Maitre Alangue Valbrun back at the Port-de-Paix Prosecutor’s Office

Maitre Alangue Valbrun is returning to the Port-de-Paix Public Prosecutor’s Office as Deputy Public Prosecutor at the First Instance Court of the city.

According to a letter dated May 25, 2022 signed by Mr. Berto Dorcé, current Minister of Justice and Public Security, “this measure will be effective from the date of the swearing in of the respondent.

Contacted by phone by Zoomhaïtinews, the current Chargé de Mission at the Court of First Instance says he is ready to serve his country and is already planning a date with the authorities concerned for his swearing in.

This transfer comes at a time when the judicial system is suffering from serious crises, recurring strikes and subsequent work stoppages.

In Port-de-Paix, Maitre Alangue Valbrun is well known for his past as head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and many Port-de-Paixians see him as a savior.
