The security company PUMA lost two of its agents during an attack by armed bandits, Thursday night, in Pétion-ville. They were trying to foil a kidnapping case.
Insecurity is in full swing in the capital a week after the arrival of the new year. On Thursday evening, two agents belonging to the PUMA security company were shot by armed bandits in the Morne Lazarre neighborhood in Pétion-ville.

The bandits were trying to kidnap a personality whose victims were responsible for ensuring security, confirmed a source to ZoomHaitiNews, adding that a justice of the peace had drawn up the legal report before the two bodies were removed.
It has been learned that two young people belonging to the journalistic corporation were murdered on Thursday in Pétion-ville, by the gang operating under the leadership of “Ti Makak”.
In Croix-des-Bouquets, the thugs kidnapped the trade unionist Paul Loulou Chéry and his wife on Wednesday. The kidnappers demanded a large ransom for their release.
