Fritz Alphonse Jean invites the population to mobilize to take power

CTN News

Participating in the general assembly of the socio-political organization Initiative patriote Marien on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the commune of Sainte-Suzanne, the elected president of the Montana Agreement, economist Fritz Alphonse Jean asked the population to continue to mobilize in order to seize power.
The former governor of the central bank, who has said he is in favor of negotiation since his election, believes that the balance of power plays a major role in the talks with the government to move things forward. “No one will bring you power without a show of force,” explained Fritz Alphonse Jean.

According to the president-elect of the Montana Agreement, the delays noted in the progress of negotiations with the de facto power of Ariel Henry are the results of the absence of this popular force on the tarmac.

Fritz Alphonse Jean took advantage of his visit to the northeast of the country to call out those who, he said, use the youth of disadvantaged neighborhoods to fuel insecurity, kidnapping and crime for electoral purposes. In the opinion of the economist, the armed youths of these popular neighborhoods are not the only ones responsible for insecurity in the country, it is also necessary to look at those who are behind them.

The resurgence of insecurity, kidnapping and crime in the country are contrary to the will of our ancestors, says Fritz Alphonse Jean. “The collective imagination of our founding fathers that makes Haiti a land of freedom for all human beings regardless of their origin and nationality is disappearing when we kidnap people to reduce them to slavery,” laments the economist.
The president-elect of the Montana Accord Fritz Alphonse Jean insisted on the need to put in place a transition of rupture capable of restoring the authority of the state. “Haiti is the pioneer in human rights, it is inconceivable that human rights are systematically violated in the country,” said the politician.

It should be noted that the negotiations between the signatories of the Montana agreement and the government in place are at a standstill after three meetings to define a sheet between the two parties.
