The movement called “Revandike dwa w” of Fonds-Des-Nègres, has announced a new week of mobilization that will start on Monday, September 19, 2022. The objective is to denounce bad governance and demand the departure of the government of Ariel Henry.
At a press conference on Saturday, September 17, 2022, members of “Revandike dwa n”, criticized the indifference of local and national authorities in the face of the continuing fuel crisis. They denounced the complicity of state authorities in the black market of the sale of gasoline throughout the national territory.
One of the members of “Revandike dwa n” Mackendy Dorvil, calls the Haitian population, that of Fonds-des-Nègres in particular, to take to the streets, equipped with plates, pans, spoons, gas cylinders and their vehicle in order to demand that the de facto government respond to their demands.
It must be said that activities are still paralyzed on the national road #2 because of the barricades that were erected by the protesters during this week. At the level of the 2nd plain, more than five electric poles were cut by protesters who also set fire to a machine of the cell phone company “Digicel”.
