The American Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere, Brain A. Nichols, is expected to visit Haiti on Wednesday, October 12, ZoomHaitiNews has learned from sources close to the American diplomacy.
During this visit, Mr. Nichols will meet with actors of the political class, civil society and the government, it was learned. However, no details were given on the agenda of the visit which, if it is maintained, would come less than a week after the Prime Minister and his government adopted an order requesting foreign military intervention in Haiti. This request is being considered by the U.S. government and other members of the international community.
