Passionate about the profession of journalism, Diego Charles was dedicated to serving his community. He was a hard worker and a fervent defender of human rights in the context of his work, said Father Marc-Henry Simeon, during a requiem mass in memory of our collaborator, cowardly murdered on June 29, along with the activist Marie Antoinette Duclair.
The ceremony took place in the presence of family members, former collaborators, colleagues, human rights leaders and political figures.

The list of victims of insecurity continues to grow in the country. Father Marc-Henry Simeon invites the members of the population to wake up so that there are no more victims like Diego Charles, Maître Monferrier Dorval or Marie Antoinette Duclair. The time has come to take our responsibility and force the authorities to act against insecurity,” said the Reverend Father.

It was an opportunity for the celebrating father to emphasize the thirst for justice and peace of the population, which is forced to flee their homes in order to escape the violence of gangs. The cases of repeated kidnappings that impoverish the Haitian people draw the attention of the religious. Without the awareness and participation of all, the other Haiti so desired will not be possible, according to Father Marc-Henry Siméon.

For the respect and memory of Diego Charles, the press must continue to put pressure on the judicial authorities to move the case forward. Journalist Robenson Geffrard deplores the inaction of the justice system on these types of cases.
