The young entrepreneur Gregory Oscar alias Pouchon was killed on the evening of Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the city of Cayes (southern department) in the context of a land dispute between him and a lawyer answering to the name of Abi Fabe.
The crime was planned by Abi Fabe and his relatives, according to the explanations of the Government Commissioner of Cayes Ronald Richemond, who said that Gregory Oscar was shot several times by plainclothes police officers.
Gregory Oscar, who had just returned to the country, was caught in a trap while making an inspection visit to a piece of land that he bought at a high price, but illegally occupied by relatives of the lawyer.
The young entrepreneur ran into trouble when Mr. Abi Fabe had a group of people come up to him and start throwing stones at his vehicle. In response, he fired into the air to disperse the crowd.
But his attempt was in vain as he was executed by these individuals who were very angry, they even accused him of being a gang operating in Martissant.
Based on these facts, the head of the prosecution, Mr. Ronald Richemond, believes that the crime was premeditated, promising to set in motion public action against the perpetrators of this extrajudicial execution.
The public prosecutor’s office has already taken steps with the police authorities so that they make available the police officers involved in this case.
