November 11 to December 22, 2021, 730 buses were used to transport 35,000 migrants of different nationalities, mainly Haitians, who were sent to 14 states of the Mexican Republic, informs the National Institute of Migration (INM).
After the colossal work carried out in recent days by the National Institute of Migration and the National Guard, thanks to a strong security device, the last Haitian migrants who had been staying in a makeshift camp on the road to Los Palacios for two weeks were transferred this week. About 35,000 migrants were evacuated from Tapachula after more than a month of residence at the Olympic Stadium, Los Palacios Highway and the Ecological Park.
Some migrants were in great difficulty in different neighborhoods of Tapachula; during this week, the transfer of migrants to 14 states of the Mexican Republic was accelerated.
At the moment, in the south-eastern bypass at the side of the road, there were more than 10 tons of garbage that are raised by the municipal council of Tapachula and they transferred all kinds of garbage to the municipal dump, in addition to fans, dras, carpets, clothes etc…
For more than 3 hours, the workers of the Tapachula City Council began the titanic task of collecting more than 10 tons of garbage with 7 vehicles, in order to prevent this area from being turned into a dump. Meanwhile, the staff of the National Institute of Migration rescued all the migrants who were in this area, after remaining on the banks of the Sur Oriente ring road where they were exposed to being run over by heavy trucks.
The 35,000 migrants will be assisted in 14 Mexican states to obtain a humanitarian visa and to be able to work in the Mexican territory, since the program to stay in Mexico was implemented by the US government.
