Saint-Louis du Nord: 2 alleged bandits including a Haitian-American arrested and several weapons seized by the police

The Intervention Brigade (BI) of the Saint-Louis du Nord police station arrested two (2) alleged bandits, Maréus Rochelet and Simon Fredner, on Monday July 25, 2022. The first, born in Haiti, holds American nationality.
According to the Departmental Directorate of Police, these two individuals were actively sought by the local police for their possible involvement in armed violence during the Easter period in the rara gangs and in acts of banditry related to gangs based in this municipality of the North-West department.
On the other hand, the police also searched the residence of Maréus Rochelet, where they found 2 automatic rifles, 1 9mm pistol, 3 9mm magazines, 3 AK-47 magazines, a telescope, 120 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, 43 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 22 rounds of 12mm ammunition.
The two (2) alleged criminals were taken to the Port-de-Paix police station. They are currently being held in police custody for further processing.
