Protest in Jacmel: At least 5 wounded with bullets by police

At least 5 people were injured by bullets in Jacmel. The work of the National Police officers who fired at man height on citizens who were denouncing  insecurity and deteriorating socio-economic conditions in Haiti. The victims were transported to a hospital in the city.

Burning tires were erected in several arteries of the city, according to our permanent correspondent in Jacmel.

The protesters denounce the government which, according to them, is responsible for the situation. They promise to continue the movement in order to obtain the departure of the de facto Prime Minister Ariel Henri.

Protest movements have been organized in several other departments of the country, such as Artibonite and the South.
During the demonstrations in Port-au-Prince on Monday, at least one death and several injuries were recorded.
