Prime Minister Ariel Henry paid a visit this morning to the high command of the National Police, with a view to reiterating his support for the agents and officials of the police institution.

The head of government who is also head of the Superior Council of the National Police, said on the occasion that his team is determined to ensure the safety and protection of lives and property throughout the territory.

“We must treat thieves as such and murderers as such,” threatened the Prime Minister. The prime minister has indicated that he has no intention of negotiating with the bandits who terrorize the population. “The thugs who do not want to give up their dirty work will suffer the blow of the law or will be killed”, still uttered Ariel Henry while recalling that the bandits and the sponsors of the crimes have no future except that the prison or the death.

The Prime Minister’s visit to the director of the Haitian Police comes more than 72 hours after the conclusive results of the police operations in Delmas and Croix-des-Bouquets. On Sunday, a gang member was shot dead by law enforcement officers who foiled a kidnapping attempt. On Saturday, members of the “400 Mawozo” group attacked a PNH patrol in Michaud, in the city of Croix-des-Bouquets. The number 2 of the gang known as Mortimé, alias Gaspiyay, was fatally injured in an exchange of gunshot  with the police on November 12. He was found died at  La Tramblay 12, where his body was found, we learned.
