A woman in her twenties was killed by a bullet to the head and several other people were injured during demonstrations on Monday, October 10, 2022 in the capital to demand the departure of Prime Minister Ariel Henry from power.
The victim, who has not been identified, was killed at Delmas 19. The protesters accused the police officers who used tear gas and live ammunition to disperse the demonstrators.
The protesters intend to continue with their demands despite the aggressiveness shown by the law enforcement officers.
In Pétion-Ville, several hundred people took to the streets to demand the departure of the de facto prime minister from power. The protesters carried tree branches and accused the police of obstructing their desire to demand their rights.
