National Police officials reported that on January 29, they locked up several individuals who were terrorizing the population in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets, north of the capital.
During this operation, the alleged gangsters “Ti Sourit and Bébéto”, members of the 400 Mawozo, were apprehended, said the police authorities, specifying that a cohort of 33 leaders were caught in this raid.
The concubine of the gang leader of Michaud, is among the thugs who were put out of action. Micheline Cadet was on a motorcycle when she was intercepted. Two other individuals who accompanied her were also arrested, the PNH officials said.
They also announced the arrest of two other thugs who had taken more than 190 thousand gourdes during a burglary. In addition, a vehicle was confiscated as a result of this operation, concluded the police authorities.
