DINEPA launches rehabilitation work in the SAEP of the Miragoâne region

The National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation launched Thursday, July 14, the rehabilitation work within the SAEP of the region of Miragoâne.
The launching ceremony was organized in the presence of the president of the municipal commission of Miragoâne Anne Myriam Loiseau, the delegate of the department of Nippes Morel Esperance Berard, the representatives of the departmental direction of Nippes, the National Police and members of the community.
The Director General of DINEPA, Guito Edouard, said that this project aims to rehabilitate the various water catchments and sources of Nippes. An amount of 58 million gourdes from the Spanish cooperation has been disbursed to finance this project over a period of 10 months.
The program includes the water catchment of “nan toulen”, Lebrun and the construction of a catchment of part of the source of “delay” located in the region of Miragoâne. Director Edouard, said that these three sources mentioned above will have a production capacity of 30 liters of water per second.
The acting executive officer of the municipality of Miragoâne Anne Myriam Loiseau, congratulated DINEPA for the rehabilitation work in the SAEP of the region.
She reassured DINEPA of the solidarity of the population for the realization of the project. The leader also called on the responsible sense of the people by inviting them to honor their obligation for the survival of the project.
For his part, the representative of the executive power in the department of Nippes Morel Esperance Berard, promised to support the project in order to facilitate its realization the planned deadline.
For the delegate of the department of Nippes, this initiative is a relief for the inhabitants.
