Dr. Makendy Guerrier was hit by several bullets following a kidnapping attempt in Port-au-Prince.

The incident occurred on Saturday night in Bois Vernat.

The young dental surgeon narrowly escaped the thugs who tried to shoot him after he refused to be taken aboard their vehicle.

The doctor was hit by several projectiles, notably in the spine
His colleagues expressed their fear of a possible paralysis.

In reaction to this heinous act, the Ephata Hospital Center, on Martin Luther King Avenue (Nazon), where Dr. Guerrier also works, decided to temporarily suspend its activities as of December 5.
