In a 47-page report made public this Tuesday, May 9, 2023, the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) counts nine (9) large-scale massacres that were perpetrated between April 2022 and April 2023 in the departments of Artibonite and West, in Haiti.
These massacres resulted in a total of 734 deaths and 105 women were gang raped. RNDDH points the finger at the de facto Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, who has turned the worrying security situation into an explosive one characterized by the fury of armed gangs, by offering them impunity and protection.
