CTN News

Members of the international community reiterated, Friday, their support to Prime Minister Ariel Henry, for the organization of elections in the country to renew the political staff.
During a meeting by video conference convened by Canada, the international community pledged to provide assistance to the National Police in the fight against insecurity.

The foreign ministers of several countries including France, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, and representatives of the Caribbean region, international organizations such as the UN, OAS and CARICOM, took part in this conference.

They promised technical support to the national police in order to create a security environment conducive to the elections.

The Prime Minister promised to find a consensual agreement with the actors around the organization of democratic elections in the country.
The restoration of security and the respect of the commitments made by the head of government are decisive in the support of foreign partners who announced a meeting on February 16 on the situation prevailing in the Southern Peninsula severely hit by the earthquake of August 14, 2021.
