Prime Minister Ariel Henry did not appear, this Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Senate of the Republic in the framework of the consultations, initiated by the ten remaining senators on the political crisis.
This is the third invitation of the Senate turned down by the head of government, noted the president of the third Senate Joseph Lambert who calls on the population to take note of the refusal of Prime Minister Ariel Henry to dialogue.
Among the personalities and political groups invited by the senators, only Prime Minister Ariel Henry has never responded to the invitation of the Senate, denounced the senator from the southeast who maintains that the head of government is the main obstacle to national dialogue.
Despite the failure of these attempts at dialogue with Prime Minister Ariel Henry, Senator Joseph Lambert promises that the Senate will continue to meet with other sectors in order to find consensual solutions to the multiple challenges facing the country.
During an address to the nation on Friday evening, Prime Minister Ariel Henry said he was willing to sit around a table with political actors to find a lasting solution to the crisis. He said he is reaching out to all those who really want to dialogue.
