The former police officer Abelson Gros Nègre will soon be released following an order of the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince, confirmed his lawyer Arnel Rémy.
After the recent release of Arnel Bélizaire and his associates ordered by the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince, it is the turn of the ex-police officer Abelson Gros Nègre to be able to recover his freedom soon, following an order of this appeal body.
One of the lawyers of the detainee, Arnel Rémy, confirmed the order of release in a tweet indicating that the administrative steps have already been taken in this sense.
The former spokesman for the National Police Union (SPNH), was arrested and imprisoned in the National Penitentiary on charges of having integrated Fantom 509, which shook the high command of the police institution following its furtive movements to pass the demands of the police.
The PNH officials accused Fantom 509 of being a terrorist organization, which perpetrated acts of vandalism, destroying state property and private business. It was an association of criminals and assassins, according to the police authorities of the time, maneuvered by Léon Charles.
