Haiti-Insecurity: Several cases of kidnapping reported in recent days

Several cases of kidnapping have been recorded in Port-au-Prince and its surroundings in recent days. The most recent one concerns Fabiola Dupoux. The former manager of the musical group Krezi Mizik was kidnapped and then released this Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
The sister of David Dupoux was kidnapped on the road to Tabarre by heavily armed men, we learned. She was to be released immediately afterwards.
Meanwhile, a student was kidnapped in the vicinity of Delmas 30 on Tuesday, Zoom Haiti News learned. This, under the passive gaze of passers-by.
Some witnesses explain that the victim was accompanied by a woman and was in a Toyota Hilux. The thugs ordered the woman in question to get out of the car and left with the vehicle and the student.
Other cases of kidnapping have been reported in other parts of the capital.
We are therefore witnessing a resurgence of kidnapping at the beginning of the year 2023. The population is waiting for answers from the government and the National Police.
