The general coordinator of the executive office of the National Union of Haitian Normalists (UNNOH), Josué Mérilien calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry because of the serious revelations made against him in the context of the case relating to the assassination of Jovenel Moise.
The unionist urges the bearers of the Montana Agreement to put in place a team with a view to replacing the head of government on February 7, 2022.
For him, the departure of Ariel Henry will allow the country to take a new direction.
In addition, Professor Merilien welcomed a tour of UNNOH in the South from December 28 to 30 to show solidarity with teachers affected by the earthquake of August 14, 2021.
It was an opportunity to discuss issues concerning the living conditions of teachers. The latter took the opportunity to criticize the authorities for not having respected their commitments to accompany them after the earthquake.
For her part, Marie Marceline Saintil, executive of UNNOH, spoke out against cases of sexual assault of which teenage girls are often victims in schools.
She promised to sensitize the teaching staff to the need to fight against such practices.
