CTN News

The fuel crisis affects considerably the functioning of the departmental hospital of Nippes Sainte Thérèse de Miragoâne. The situation has worsened recently. Patients and their relatives are increasingly worried.

The medical director of the largest hospital in Nippes sounded the alarm this Thursday, October 27, 2022 during his intervention on the program “Dim saw wè” on the airwaves of radio Caribbean FM broadcasting in the town of Miragoâne. He urged the authorities to act to solve the problem, stressing that the population of Nippon is paying the consequences of this shortage of fuel that handicaps several services provided by the hospital including the operating room and maternity.

The hospital has been active for the past two weeks thanks to the dedication of good Samaritans who have offered fuel to the institution. However, the reserve is exhausted this Thursday, said the official.

The fuel crisis is seriously affecting the city of Fernand Hibbert like all other cities in the country. The public and private institutions are almost dysfunctional for more than a month already notes Zoom Haiti News.
