Closure of his accounts at Sogebank, former Prime Minister Jean Henry Ceant writes to the BRH

CTN News

After having solicited the protector of the citizen, Maitre Renan Hédouville, the former tenant of the Prime Minister’s Office under the administration of the late President Jovenel Moïse, Master Jean Henry Céant sent a letter on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, to the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), Jean Baden Dubois, asking him to demand from the Professional Association of Banks (APB) and local banks, the legal document that empowers them to take and execute ex-cathedra provisions affecting the functioning and dignity of Haitian citizens, and if necessary to give him copies, reads the letter.

The notary Jean Henry Céant also considered the decision taken by the Sogebank group to close its bank accounts of unspeakable abuse, based, he said, on the laws on banks that are subject to the control of the BRH.

It should be recalled that the name of the notary Jean Henry Céant is on the list of personalities sanctioned by the Canadian and U.S. governments for their alleged involvement in the financing of gangs and money laundering in Haiti
