The soccer team of Brazil made a spectacular entry in the 22nd edition of the World Cup 2022 this Thursday in Qatar.

The team of Tite beat the selection of Serbia 2 goals to zero.

During the first half, Serbia held their own by keeping their net blank. But it was without counting on the number 9 of Brazil who opened the score in the 62nd minute of play.

Richarlison would add to the lead in the 73rd minute with a sumptuous second goal.

The bill could have been more expensive. Raphinha missed two golden opportunities. The Auriverdes hit the woodwork three times. While the Serbian keeper multiplied the decisive saves.

The PSG star Neymar, who was expected to play in this World Cup, had to leave his partners in the 80th minute after suffering an ankle injury. The custodian of the game of the Seleçao was in tears on the bench. His presence in the next games of Brazil is threatened. If Neymar did not score a goal for his first game in this competition, he still played an extraordinary game like Vinicius Jr who delivered an assist on the second goal of Richarlison.

Vinicius was also involved in the first goal with a shot on the post.

It should be noted that the team coached by Tite could have a second withdrawal for its next game after the very likely one of Neymar. The right-back Danilo, affected, had to grit his teeth to finish the game. The coach having already made his 5 changes.

The five-time world champion team is in first place in Group G with the same amount of points as Switzerland, who won a little earlier against Cameroon (1-0). The Seleçao will meet in its second outing the Swiss selection on Monday, November 28 at 11 AM (Haitian time) before closing the first phase against the Indomitable Lions on Friday, December 2 from 2 PM (Haitian time).
