Port-au-Prince, Monday, June 15, 2026 – The Ministries of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Commerce and Industry (MCI) have announced a new pricing structure for petroleum products sold nationwide. This decision, made upon the recommendation of the Advisory Council dated June 10, 2026, took effect on June 15, 2026.

In an official notice addressed to the general public, importers, distributors, and consumers of petroleum products, the authorities have set the new pump prices as follows:

Diesel (Gasoil): 790 gourdes per gallon. Diesel sees a reduction of 35 gourdes per gallon, with its price dropping from 825 to 790 gourdes.
Kerosene: 785 gourdes per gallon. Its price drops from 845 to 785 gourdes per gallon, a decrease of 60 gourdes.
Gasoline: 700 gourdes per gallon. No changes have been made to the price of gasoline, which remains fixed at 700 gourdes per gallon.

According to the statement, this measure aims to establish official prices applicable throughout the national territory and concerns all stakeholders in the fuel supply and distribution chain.

The notice is signed by Serge Gabriel Collin, Minister of Economy and Finance, and James Monazard, Minister of Commerce and Industry.

This announcement comes at a time when fluctuations in petroleum product prices remain a major economic issue for households, transport companies, and fuel-dependent sectors.

A few weeks earlier, the Haitian government had made an initial downward adjustment to fuel prices. Announced on May 8 during a press conference by the Advisory Committee for Monitoring the Petroleum Market, that measure aimed to reflect changes in international market conditions on pump prices.

On that occasion, the price of a gallon of gasoline was reduced from 725 to 700 gourdes, while diesel dropped from 825 to 800 gourdes. Kerosene, however, remained unchanged at 845 gourdes per gallon.

That price reduction followed a substantial increase in petroleum product prices that took effect on April 2, 2026. Authorities had cited the surge in refined fuel prices on the international market to justify that decision.

According to data presented by the government, the price of kerosene had increased by more than 100% between late February and late March 2026, compared to nearly 85% for diesel and about 50% for gasoline.
