Representing the Director General a.i. of the Haitian National Police, Mr. Frantz Elbé, the Director of the North-West Police Department, Mr. Jean Bruce Myrtile, presented a certificate of honor and merit to the Port-de-Paix Customs Department for its contribution to the fight against transnational organized crime alongside the Haitian National Police – PNH.
This gesture was welcomed by the Director of the Port-de-Paix Customs, Mrs. Nadège Rebecca Etienne. She made a point of thanking the Director of the National Police while expressing her pride in being able to collaborate with the Police in the fight against transnational crime. The Director took the opportunity to remind that Customs does not only have a fiscal mission but also a public protection mission.
This mark of distinction comes a few days after an important seizure of ammunition made by the Port-de-Paix Customs Brigade.
