The phenomenon of kidnapping continues to make victims within the Haitian medical community. The medical director of the Haitian State University Hospital, Jacques Pierre Pierre was kidnapped this Tuesday, May 17, in the heart of the capital, more precisely on Rue Monseigneur Guilloux, not far from the HUEH premises.
The news was confirmed by the president of the union of health workers at the general hospital, Evelyne Frémont, who called on the kidnappers to release Dr. Jacques Pierre Pierre unconditionally.
Dr. Jacques Pierre Pierre, who is in his sixties, is one of the oldest executives of the HUEH who is at the service of all, whether he is on site or on the other side of the world.
It should be noted that the pediatrician Benetty Augustin is still being held by her kidnappers after more than ten days of sequestration despite the ransom paid to the kidnappers.
