The Infrastructure bill has become law today

The United States President has signed into law the infrastructure bill on Monday November 15,2021.

Several high profil members of the Biden Administration, Senators from both sides of the aisle, and other important personalities participated at the ceremony held at the White House garden.

Speaking at the event, the prominent Republican Senator from Ohio praised the leadership of Joe Biden. He insisted on importance of the infrastructure bill which he said we created thousands of jobs.

The vice president Kamala Harris who also participated at the event praised the ability of president Biden to get things done. ” If it was not fo the leadership of the president, will would not be here today”, declared the vice president qualifying Biden as “equal part deliver and builder”. Mrs. Harris insisted on the fact this new package of 1.2 trillion dollars will help creating high paying jobs and keep up with the high demand of broadband internet. However, this bill is part one of a package of two, reminded the first female vice president in the US history.

Ranking very low in the latest ABC/Washington Post poll, Joe Biden hope to regain the confidence of the American people. “We are finally getting this done”, rejoiced Joe Biden adding “So my message to the American people is this: America is moving again, and your life is going to change for the better”.

The infrastructure bill was adopted by the House of Representatives late on the evening of Friday, November 5, 2021 with 228 votes in favor and 206 against. 13 Republicans joined the Democrats while 6 of the majority party parliamentarians rejected the document.

Thanks to this law of 1.2 trillion de dollars, the Americans will be able to repair road infrastructures with an envelope of 110 billion. $ 66 billion has been allocated to rail networks, which represents the largest investment in American rail networks for more than 50 years. $ 55 billion has also been allocated to supply water and replace plumbing pipes.

After signing the infrastructure bill, Joe Biden intend to focus on the social safety net bill which is seen as a complementary package by the democrats.

But it is unclear on if and when this bill will be voted by the Senate giving the opposition of the two moderate democrats: Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona and Joe Manchin from West Virginia who constantly raised concerned about the impact of this bill on the economy.
