The government has already forwarded to the official newspaper Le Moniteur, the decree setting the minimum wage for promulgation, announced the Prime Minister’s Office on its Twitter account. According to the document, the agents belonging to segment A will receive 770 gourdes, as a daily salary.
615 gourdes have been allocated to those in segment B, 540 gourdes to segment C, 350 gourdes to segment E, workers in segment F will receive 685 gourdes, while agents belonging to categories G and H will receive 615 gourdes as minimum wage.
This decision comes into effect this Monday, February 21, said the government, which has finally decided on the issue of minimum wage, which has raised many concerns, particularly in the textile industry.
