The administrator of small businesses (SBA) welcomed the adoption Friday evening of the infrastructure plan by the United States Congress. For Isabelle Casillas Guzman, this law will give small businesses the opportunity to “compete better, grow and strengthen their resilience”.
Infrastructure such as roads, bridges, public transport and railways are of paramount importance for SMEs, said Ms. Guzman. “Thanks to unprecedented investments in broadband and cyber-infrastructure, small businesses across our country (United States) will be able to meet their customers online wherever they are,” said Isabelle Guzman in a statement, a copy of which was sent to ZoomHaitiNews and CaribbeanTelevisionNetwork.
Ms. Guzman also insisted that Joe Biden’s new plan will allow small business owners to have a greater contracting opportunities. This will allow them to create jobs in their communities and help strengthen the American economy.
The director of the SBA also believes that the new economic plan of the administration of Joe Biden will go a long way in the fight against greenhouse gas emissions, allow small businesses to be more competitive in growing industries.
The administration of small and medium-sized enterprises (SBA) “is an independent agency with the mission of helping, advising, assisting and protecting the interests of SMEs”. Created in 1953 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the SBA gained authority after the coronavirus pandemic that broke out in late 2019. It has rescued many small businesses that had suffered enormous losses during the epidemic . Also, the SBA regularly organizes training sessions for the benefit of small traders in order to strengthen their management capacity.
