Public transport drivers paralyze traffic in Pétion-Ville

Public transport drivers blocked traffic this Monday on the road to Pétion-ville, near Musseau, to protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products on the national market. They placed several buses across the road, systematically paralyzing vehicular traffic. Pedestrians and motorcycle cabs are having difficulty getting through.

The government has decided to increase the price of gasoline at the pump without adjusting the prices of the races, denounced the transporters who deliberately increase the prices of the various circuits of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and other regions of the country.
They began this protest movement on Monday, not far from the official residence of the Prime Minister, in order to force the government to review its copy.
Since December 10, the new rates of petroleum products are effective on the local market.
