The community health center of Saint François de Sales was inaugurated this Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the neighborhood of Baconois, commune of Anse-à-veau, in the department of Nippes. This inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of the coordinator of the assembly of the communal section of Baconois, Avelus Monchery, the regional director of the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) of Miragoâne, Jephté Guirand, the coordinator of the women’s organization the Nippes women’s network (REFANIP), Lila Zephirin and representatives of the departmental health directorate of Nippes.
For the initiator of the Saint François de Sales health center in Baconois, Jean Ricard Charles, this represents the fulfillment of a dream for his section, deprived of health infrastructure for a long time. This center will operate 7 days a week with nurses available to serve the population of Baconois reassures the Casec.
For her part, the coordinator of REFANIP Lila Zephirin, expressed her satisfaction for the opening for the first time of a health center in the Baconois neighborhood. The feminist activist believes that this center will be useful to the community, especially to women in case of personal emergency and their children. She solicits the support of the population for a better functioning and maintenance of the health space.
Inhabitants of the Baconois neighborhood, including women, welcomed the establishment of this health center. They expressed their gratitude to Jean Ricard Charles, son of the community for the materialization of the project.
