The Haitian National Police has adopted new measures to limit the scope of action of criminals in several areas of the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area. The PNH announced in a note the deployment of several special units in downtown Port-au-Prince, Bas Lalue and Croix-des-Bouquets.
This massive deployment of specialized units of the PNH is part of the measures taken by the police institution to reassure the population and prevent at the same time the bandits from attacking innocent people, says the note.
In the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets, the police have taken up positions in several neighborhoods including Nan Rémy, Dagou, La féroné”, known as strongholds of armed gangs.

The presence of the police in these sensitive areas demonstrates the willingness of the police institution to put out of action all the criminals who would like to terrorize the civilian population,” the note said.
In the absence of the materials promised by the de facto government of Ariel Henry, the Director General a.i. of the PNH, Frantz Elbé, will have to do his best with the means at hand, to bring results, so long awaited by the population
