Louis Philippe Dalembert and Pierre Raymond Dumas guests of honor: Livres en folie back

After two (2) years of absence because of Covid-19, Livres en folie makes its return for the most beautiful this year. Book lovers have an appointment on Thursday, June 16 at Karibe Hotel. 135 new Haitian books will be available. 108 authors will be signing confirms the editor of the newspaper Le Nouvelliste, Frantz Duval.


Livres en folie allows the public to connect directly with the writers. It is an event that teaches us to know better the Haitian authors relates Max Chauvet, director of the daily newspaper Le Nouvelliste, which highlights the impact that the absence of reading can cause on the brain of the human and on the functioning of society.

The Minister of Communication and Culture, Emmelie Prophète presents Livres en folie as a public service, a perennial event that is part of the annual habits of readers.
She welcomes the return of this great cultural and literary event, which has been disrupted twice by the Covid-19 pandemic.


In these times of crisis, the Minister of Communication and Culture, Emmelie Prophète said she believes that literature can be a weapon of combat to resist the vicious cycle of insecurity, serial kidnappings.

In the presence of special guests, Louis Philippe Dalembert from France and Pierre Raymond Dumas, the organizers are committed to making this year’s Book Madness a special space for children.

1200 books will be available for sale online at the event’s website www.livreenfolie.com. Online sales began on Monday, June 13 and will continue until June 19.
The event will be organized this year by the daily newspaper Le Nouvelliste together with Unibank and many other partners.
